I recently purchased an SSD and integrated it into my system alongside my hard drive. I installed Windows there and set it as the boot priority. Now, I want to remove Windows from my hard drive since I only need it for storage. Can you guide me through the process? Thank you in advance.

It's best to just reformat the text as requested.

Ensure crucial and personal data is saved. Restructure the storage device. Reinsert the files. Completed.

Start by installing Windows on the SSD. Next, boot from the SSD using the HDD you already have installed. Remove the Windows installation files and any related program folders, since running them from the old setup won’t work properly. If you want to keep only necessary files, format the drive and reinstall Windows there instead. Simply deleting everything except the desired files after installation on the new SSD will suffice.

Open DiskPart in Windows (press Windows key)
Enter "list disk"
Pick the storage device you wish to format
Input "clean"
Proceed to Disk Management and assign a letter to the drive

Don't remove the OS. Either delete all connected files (be careful, leave some hidden items) or format everything for a clean start.

You're concerned about data loss during formatting. It's good to know your important files and apps remain intact.
