How do i reset an Imac

I located an IMAC from around 2007 in good shape, functioning in a bin outside a school with other items. The computer displays the username and password on a sticky note, but it won’t log in because it needs connection to the education department servers—which I can’t access. When I try to start it, I can’t reach the command section to reset it. If you need to restore it, you may want to consider selling it for around $200 or less depending on its condition.

Well there is an option, but that is how I do it at work. And can't tell you. cuz confidential agreement.

Be cautious with this advice, as taking items from someone's trash can may still be seen as theft, particularly if the item has a registered serial number that can be traced. Just a word of caution.

It was also in the bin, along with an old DELL from 2011 and some battery packs. The batteries aren't great here—they only keep a computer running for about 10 minutes on full charge before they drain completely.
