How do I remove my corsair commander pro from my case?
Hello. I acquired a corsair 500d obsidian with corsair fans and a commander pro + RGB hub. To operate the fans, I needed the commander pro and ICUE for control. I really disliked using ICUE—it kept malfunctioning constantly. So I swapped my old cooler master case fans into this new case and installed my own fan controllers. I was attempting to detach the commander pro but it was stuck due to strong adhesive. It’s not visible as a screw, and since the pro doesn’t use screws, I’m unsure how to remove it. I tried cutting through the glue with a knife, but that didn’t help. Any advice would be appreciated.
Apply a light layer of isopropyl alcohol between the item and the case.
Unfortunately, it didn’t go well. Right now I’ve only managed to place the new fan hub in its spot. The computer is functioning properly, but I’m still hoping to remove it later.
I'm unsure about the details you're referring to, but the approach seems to involve applying pressure externally and gradually removing resistance. It appears the material might be 3M VHB or something similar, making it resistant to simple removal.
