How do I make my internet go faster?
every time I test my internet speed, Ookla says it's 20 Mbps. But when I try downloading from Steam, the download only goes at 2.5 MB/s and uses about 20% of my network. When I check Task Manager, i see a wired connection showing up right now. i've tried all these tricks on YouTube but nothing seems to work (edit: i realized that 20 Mbps is actually equal to 2.5 MB/s anyway). Still, is there any way to get faster speeds?

Which is what you might want to add up to your whole build list and tell me make and model of all those things plus the ISP you're working with.
Those numbers are all correct. Twenty megabits per second equals twenty point five megaBytes per second. That means the connection speed is about 20% of a standard 100 megabit Ethernet link. Everything checks out. If you buy a plan that gives you 20 megabits per second, you'll need to upgrade to something faster for those speeds. But if your router or modem has a port capable of 100 megabits per second, then everything works as expected. Please share details about what your computer does and the internet plan you're on so I can check if anything is missing from your setup.
It depends on which game you pick. You need to pay attention to that part. Some games are big hits, while others just came out recently. In the Steam settings, try switching your download servers and using your own ISP DNS instead of the default ones. Don't worry about ping since it doesn't matter much, but changing these settings could make your speed go up a bit.
It doesn't really matter right now because they're already getting the fastest connection their Internet Service Provider gives them. The only choice left is to buy a more expensive internet plan.
I have two fiber lines. One is a little bit quicker at about 100 mbps, while the other costs money on every monthly bill. With the fast line, my Steam downloads usually come out around 35 to 36 megabytes. I will share pictures later.
