How do I know if my computer is using Microsoft's virtual machine software like Hyper-V instead of a normal Windows 11 system? This means you're testing inside a special simulated version of the OS rather than on real hardware.

Do you own a program called Oracle VirtualBox? You can find it online at www.virtualbox.org for free.

Nope but I suspect to have a VM bootkit/rootkit that infect HyperV I have tried to disable HyperV rules or HyperV itself but without success

You can turn off virtual machine settings in your BIOS. Do you need to tell us what computer makes and models? Why do you feel like you are getting sick?

I know that when Win 10 Pro runs inside an Oracle VirtualBox, the computer remembers "VirtualBox" or "VBox" even though the software isn't actually on this guest machine. For example, under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, there is a key called 'VirtualBiosVersion'. The value says "Oracle VM VirtualBox Version 6.1.30", and that same version appears over and over again in the registry because the program thinks it's installed when it isn't really running here.

Are you talking about Device Guard? That setting was turned off, but Hyper-V is still running on my computer. I own a Legion 5 laptop.

You can see that there are active rules set by a HyperV 20231126-174809 that is hosted at ImgBB Image 20231126-174809, and it is hosted in ImgBB ibb.co, which is also hosted at ImgBB Image 20231126-174743, and that one too is hosted in ImgBB ibb.co.

I don't know much about VMs, but these settings look like they are stuck in a loop. Google has some cool tricks to stop it. You still haven't figured out what makes you think your computer is sick or broken? What apps have you checked for viruses or hackers on your system? Have you read any of this stuff online? Here is how to turn on Hyper-V for use with Windows 11: Do you want to run virtual machines on that machine? Hyper-V is a tool that helps make computers act like they are two separate machines, not just one big one. It's useful not only for developers and IT pros, but also for students learning tech stuff.

The Host file got infected. If you add Firewall rules, the system will make automatic open rules in Allow Apps under Windows Defender. So all those rules set there are useless. Every AV or firewall software you try to install on this system can't upload itself to latest protections. Their protections get bypassed; almost anything gets found, except for firewall attacks that seem blocked for a while and abuse of svchost.exe and other files trying to change Windows settings etc. The Health/Defense apps in Windows are off by default and you cannot change them through the registry. The Internet connection is closed often because TCP/IP network drivers begin invalid without a reason.
