I understand Windows 11 requires TPM 2.0. I check if a TPM 2.0 solution fits your device.

Verify your BIOS for TPM firmware support, typically found in the PCH-FW settings on ASUS systems.

You've confirmed compliance with the W11 checker, and the Intel PTT appears to fulfill its intended functions. It seems to match the requirements without fully replicating the TPM module's capabilities. Regarding potential risks, enabling such features could indeed lead to hardware issues if not properly configured.

I only learned about TPM yesterday so don't got much info. I've heard that firmware TPM isn't as secure as an external TPM chip dunno if thats true. I've turned TPM off few minutes ago since its not needed for now.

The PTT isn't listed in your BIOS settings.

Previous updates indicate that starting from Coffee Lake, Intel integrated TPM 2.0 into CPUs and motherboards. I tested the PC Health app and received a warning about my Z490/10700K build being unsupported, which likely stemmed from TPM 2.0 not being enabled. On my Asus board, the setting was located in "Advanced\PCH-FW Configuration," requiring a toggle for PT. I also checked "Advanced\Trusted Computing" where I found an option labeled "TPM2.0 UEFU Spec Version." My board defaulted to "TCG_2," while the other choice corresponded to TPM 1.2 for Windows 10 and later. Adjusting this setting resolved the app's issue. Some sources suggest TPM 1.2 is acceptable, or that the requirement applies only to new PCs. It might be wise to monitor the situation, as Microsoft officially announced Windows 11 recently, and it’s unclear if TPM 2.0 is mandatory for all builds.
