I just put Windows 10 on after upgrading to an SSD for the boot drive. Now whenever I launch a browser, svchost.exe appears in the K7 antivirus alert. I’m unsure how to get rid of it. Can you assist?

Do you know that svchost runs as a system process? If your antivirus flags it as a threat after a clean setup, it might be time to remove that software.

svchost might help execute malicious software even without viruses present, but relying solely on antivirus detection isn't sufficient when it only sees svchost.

Please send the screenshot here. I'm concerned about potential security risks and want to understand what you're seeing.

It's common to see many svchost processes running, but it depends on your system configuration. Check if they're necessary and ensure they're not conflicting with other services.

It could be a glitch. Only one device is active; consider disabling noficationf in your AV.

Turning off alerts could be risky, as you might not catch threats like Trojans or malware. It’s better to stay informed and protect your system.

SVCHOST is an abbreviation for SerViCeHOST. These are background services, Microsoft users run under the svchost name, while others don't. Every service you have running will appear as a svchost process. If you're sure you're installing safe software, this tool should work fine.
