Hi! I lost my Lenovo X1 Yoga Gen 6 20XY Laptop, and recently the right-side display hinge started making clicking sounds. When I close the laptop, the screen doesn’t line up properly. There’s no obvious damage, but everything seems to be functioning normally. I’m planning to fix it before bigger problems occur. All repair shops quoted around 1k€, but they only sell the display assembly, not the hinges. I found replacement hinges on third-party sites. I have some background in electronics repair, but there’s no guidance online for this specific part. I really appreciate any advice or help you can offer!

I have some background in electronics repair, but there are no clear instructions for this part online. I’m hoping someone can assist me with this problem!
You may wish to contact the repair shop and ask if they’d be willing to perform the work for a fee if you bought the hinges yourself. In my opinion, you’re paying for their expertise—without the right tools there’s a good chance you’ll damage the whole panel, which could lead to even bigger costs later.
