How do I downgrade my MB's BIOS?
I own an ASUS PRIME X470-PRO. The RGB effects on my NZXT KRAKEN X62 functioned properly with ASUS AURA and Logitech G Hub until I upgraded the BIOS from stock (0222) to the newest firmware (5204), which was needed for AURA Terminal compatibility. Now, the device often fails to power on, and when it does, the animation freezes shortly after launching Windows 10. I suspect the problem lies with the BIOS, not CAM. After updating the AGESA drivers in Windows, the issue persisted. I attempted to downgrade the BIOS via the BIOS menu using a USB drive through EZ Update, but encountered an error stating the file is invalid or improper. I searched online and watched several YouTube tutorials, but each one ended in failure—some caused system damage or other complications. I’m worried about damaging my motherboard and want the KRAKEN to function correctly once more. Is there another safe method to downgrade the BIOS for my motherboard? If not, how can I restore the RGB lighting on my NZXT Kraken? I recall that after installing Corsair LL-series RGB fans, the motherboard didn’t display the expected lighting patterns—they only showed the default rainbow effect. I turned off Secure Boot and AURA now boots alongside iCUE, but I still need to adjust the motherboard settings to get everything working properly.
According to my understanding, you generally can't reduce the BIOS version on that motherboard. There might be newer versions available, even if they're still in beta.
You are updating your motherboard model 5204 with the newest firmware from ASUS.

I attempted that, but the system returned an error: "The Model of the BIOS image doesn't match the BIOS ROM currently present."
