I'm waiting to hear back about special funding from the "community funding" (which means I'm the one buying it and the government might remburise me. Then we can look into finally getting me a gaming computer. Mom thinks that due to the fact there's a "Shortage of computer chips" there might be a problem in getting a gaming computer. I think that's is a load of baloney because of the fact we're not building one but getting a pre-build one. So how likely is it for me to get a pre-built gaming computer?

It's straightforward to find prebuilt options online, but with the holidays approaching, we need to act quickly. Also, if mom is covering most or some of the cost, you shouldn't treat her like a BSer.

I hate having to explain over and over again. But the SPECIAL community funding means I'm the only one paying for it and blasted Provincial government (I don't live in the states-and we already had our blasted Thanksgiving on MONDAY)-will be reimbursing me that is IF I'm approve if not, I'm using my own money anyway to buy the long-awaited *** blasted gaming computer I have waited since March for or was it May? So Mom has no part in it except for being my "Sectary" for it to certain people, So mom' has nothing to do with buying the computer like 0% of the finance business.

There are current shortages affecting which GPUs are accessible, even those that come pre-built. This situation has also led to significantly higher prices for available GPUs, which will be included in the cost of pre-built options. The real availability and pricing in the near future remain uncertain, and prices will vary by country.

I find it hard to say otherwise, but it seems more practical to purchase a console these days if you're comfortable using a gamepad. I've also noticed that the launch prices for console titles are often cheaper compared to PC games.

I prefer a computer, not a console. For one thing, Sims 4 (and packs) on a console have limitations: you can't use mods, and you can't create stories with them while playing on a console—only on a PC. And my save is already stored on a computer. Additionally, I can't install Bluestacks on a console since it's only available for PC/Mac.

I hope you have a reasonable budget for a prebuilt PC, or perhaps you're not expecting to play many games with high graphics demands (or are fine with lower settings). As someone else pointed out, the chip shortage is also influencing prices and making them less accessible. How much are you willing to spend, and when do you need it? The longer you wait, the more difficult it becomes to find available stock. This is especially true since major holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas drive up demand worldwide, forcing manufacturers to prioritize global supply. Unless you specify your country, we can't determine current prices or availability in your region. Also, if you're using all your own funds, I don't see much reason for mom to include this cost—just hurry, time is critical.

I mentioned that my country celebrated Thanksgiving on the second Monday in October, which is different from the usual Thursday in November. That tells me I’m in Canada. As I’ve discussed before, I don’t have any budget for this. The main reason we’re still waiting is to get a response from the "community funding" team because of the special funding situation. Before the pandemic, community funding wouldn’t cover things like a gaming computer, but now it does during the pandemic. Also, since this past Monday was a holiday in my country, I don’t expect anyone to reply until at least the following Monday due to a backlog of emails about special funding costs.

Are there any stores close to that location?

The chip shortage impacts all of us.
Even if you're not purchasing a single GPU, it's still being acquired and set up.
