How can i test RAM for errors?
Looking into your situation, it's clear you're trying to verify RAM health. Memtest86 and MemTest86+ are good options, but their accuracy can vary depending on the hardware. Windows Diagnostic gave a clean result, yet some users find them unreliable. Since you've noticed exceptions in games like BO2 (error code 0xc000005), it's worth testing the CPU as well—using an Intel stress test and AIDA64 confirmed GPU stability. For RAM specifically, consider tools like CrystalDiskInfo or Windows Memory Diagnostic for more precise checks. If you want thorough hardware validation, a combination of software tests and stress analysis would be best.
MemTest64 works well, but let me know your system details—this can help identify any compatibility issues.
I own a tuf b360 gaming plus br, an i5 9400f, a gtx 1060 with 6gb, and a 500w power supply. My RAM is a Ballistix Sport 1x8gb DDR4 at 2666mhz. Is MemTest64 the optimal choice? There are so many options I’m confused about. Only far cry 3 and battlefield 3 didn’t crash during playthroughs. I played both for about 40 hours total, and bo2 crashed four times in 80 hours. All other games had crashes either at first or when adjusting graphics settings (ac4). I’m not sure if this is just bad luck—I’ve been hoping to verify my hardware’s health. Thank you.
