You're looking to run older games on your new Windows 10 PC via Steam. Since many classics aren't optimized for the latest OS, you have a few options: try GOG for those missing titles, or explore Steam's library for games that support newer Windows versions. If you need help checking compatibility, let me know!

If it's available on Steam, I strongly believe it won't cause any problems.

Many people agree that Com offers the top support for older games. You might find compatibility options like Windows 98 and 265 colors helpful. Edit... Their typing is a bit off.

The games will run smoothly, similar to Windows 8, offering strong backward compatibility. You can enable compatibility mode to recreate older systems like XP.

It relies on the specific game. Certain options let you play in compatibility mode, while others need virtualization tools like VirtualBox.

I can run BF 1942 fine on my PC using Windows 8.1 Pro as well as BF2, and likely other older titles too.
