Hey there,
I’m new to hardware stuff so I really need clear guidance. Could you walk me through how to set this up?

I have two laptops: one with an HDMI port and another with a monitor that also has an HDMI port. I also own two monitors, each with its own HDMI port.

My goals are:
- Connect both laptops to the same monitors at the same time, using one mouse and keyboard.
- Switch between the two monitors so I can control both simultaneously.
- Use a single laptop as a full extended screen across both monitors for either device.

I want simple setup without installing any software on the company machine.

Please let me know what hardware you should purchase or share some Amazon links. Thanks!

2 cannot occur without certain software, possibly hardware.
Logitech Flow accomplishes this, but it requires their specific hardware and software.

Synergy also does this, though it relies on software.

Thanks for the reply, I thought it was possible without any software. A lot of people on YouTube mention something called a “KVM” but the videos seem complex and I don’t really understand much about it, so thought I’d ask here.

A KVM, indeed.
Multiple systems managing several displays.
However, it doesn't move effortlessly between them.
