How can I help you get started?
My build list says I need an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, but my old computer has a much weaker CPU called the Ryzen 5 3600. Even though my new parts are working well with only 4095MB of RAM, my current system won't play modern games like Spiderman 2. I need to find an upgrade that fits within £800 for a video card so it can handle those big titles instead of being stuck on older stuff. The whole thing already costs about £1,400 and is getting hot at 66 degrees C.
Hey there! Your first picks are actually really good. It's definitely a great gaming setup. I'm going to play it at 1440p and even go up to 4K, though I'll turn down some settings for that high-res stuff. You might check out the Radeon 9070XT from AMD; it's a new GPU and works well across many games. However, the 4070 Ti Super is also pretty strong. It's an excellent choice for both 1440p and 4K gaming.
I have a Corsair RM850 power supply that is already a couple of years old. My PC is not playing games like Spiderman 2 anymore, so I'm looking for a new graphics card between 500 and 800 pounds. Have you considered the RX 9070XT? If you check those links on PCPartPicker, you'll see an RTX 4070Ti Super listed for around 620 pounds in UK currency. I would have bought that sooner if it had been a more recent card like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX series at the time, but my parts list came from advice given almost a year ago.
These new AMD and Nvidia cards work with PCIe 5.0, just like this board too. Here is the list of parts you need: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D running at 4.2 GHz with 8 cores for £343 on Amazon UK. CPU Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE ARGB which blows 66.17 CFM for £36.95 from Overclockers.co.uk. Motherboard: * Gigabyte B850 GAMING X WIFI6E ATX AM5 board costing £164.49 on Amazon UK. Memory: * Corsair Vengeance having 32 GB total (two 16 GB sticks) at DDR5 speeds of 6000 CL30 for £91.99 from Amazon UK. Storage: Western Digital Black SN770 with 2 TB capacity, using M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVMe drive for £104.97 on Amazon UK. Video Card: * Asus PRIME OC Radeon RX 9070 XT with 16 GB of video memory for £659 from Computer Orbit. Total cost comes to £1400.40. These prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts if available.
