Hi, I'm using Windows 10. I recently purchased a Hyperx Pulsefire Core gaming mouse. Previously, I used a Logitech G302 wired mouse. With the Logitech G Hub software, my mouse button presets would automatically switch to the default when minimizing games or switching apps. This worked even when running multiple games at once and changing between them. Now, with the Hyperx NGenuity software, the mouse button presets don't behave the same way as with Logitech G Hub. When I play a game, the presets change for that specific game, but when I close the game window, the preset doesn't revert to the default and stays that way. It doesn't automatically return to the default when I switch to another window or browse. This is frustrating because I need smooth multitasking while gaming. How can I get my mouse presets to work like they did with Logitech G Hub using the Hyperx Pulsefire Core?

It's strange how my search didn't mention your mouse, yet all the results appeared. The only one I found is that link, but it might not work exactly as you expect. There aren't many third-party mouse controllers; most mice use standard Windows drivers or their own software.

The hub needs the SDK for the games you played to correctly match button presets.
SDK allows games to adjust hardware settings – see the explanation here: https://www.spiceworks.com/tech/devops/a...at-is-sdk/.
It might be wise to check this before purchasing a new mouse that seems faulty. You could assume it would revert to the default theme after finishing a game.

can you manage your hyperx mouse through external programs and replicate its behavior similar to a logitech mouse?

At the top of my head, mice with SDK:
Razer
Steelseries
Logitech (obvious)
Corsair
Asus
Probably most brands offer them...
I believe there are likely more, so it would be wise to check the brand name before purchasing. But if you're unsure about what you need, it can be tricky.
If that feature matters to you, you might want a different mouse.
My last two mice were from Steelseries; they provide solid hardware and tend to last a long time. I only switched to Logitech about a month ago. It's been over 20 years since I last used a Logitech mouse. That's quite a gap, isn't it?
