How can I adjust Windows 11 to behave more like Linux so it requests root access during installations?
I would like to do the same on my Windows 11 installation, to prompt me for my pin or password whenever I want to install something or do something weirder, just for security. Where I work, this is already so, you can't install anything, or even acces some settings, without having the admin password. How can I do the same?
Basic.
Set up a new user with local Standard. It's suitable for everyday tasks.
When you need to install something, it will prompt for the admin password.
Every system follows this setup. The Local Standard user handles regular operations.
The admin account is reserved for real administrative actions.
