How can an explorer app on Windows 11 move faster and smoother than one on Windows 10?
One thing that bothers me is when I open a folder full of videos in Windows 11. It starts by showing details, but then it switches to big icons after scanning everything. This feels slow when scrolling through videos with the right arrow key. I never get this problem on Windows 10. Also, Explorer just seems laggy sometimes, even though I have a lot of memory (64GB). Here are my computer specs: Intel i5-13600k processor, 64GB of RAM, NVIDIA RTX 2060 with 6GB graphics card, an MSI MAG B660 TOMAHAWK motherboard with Wi-Fi and DDR4 memory. My system is running Windows 11 Pro on top of four big hard drives: Samsung 980 Pro and Crucial MX500 (two 1TB drives), two Crucial MX500s (2TB each), and a Samsung 870 Evo with 2TB storage. I tested my RAM using memtest86 and ran Windows diagnostics twelve times, but everything passed fine. It also reads memory at full speed of 3600MHz for the dual-rank sticks. Could you help me fix this?
How to quickly show files as a list or big icons called thumbnails in Windows 11 File Explorer easily change back and forth between List view and Large Icons (Thumbnails) to get a quick look at an image file right now.
Here is how you can see your files fast in the list or big icons on the left side of Windows 11: just click the little eye icon next to each item, and it will turn into a small picture. You can switch between these two ways to look at things quickly without opening a new window.
