Prepare your RGB configuration, save the preferences, and remove them. It’s strange that modern PCs handle so much without strain, yet some flashy apps drain resources instead of enhancing performance. I’m not a fan of these kinds of tools, which is why my dislike influences my choices. Still, the Armoury Crate? What does it actually do for your PC or games? Does it provide extra ammo? Is there a hidden BFG? Does it relate to military themes? I think it’s just unnecessary junk—just set it up once and delete it. That’s exactly how I handled my Corsair vengeance Dimms; the app ended up in the trash.

The issue with setting it up and why that's a poor recommendation is that you're never truly free from it. Asus has ignored many common software installation rules using low-quality tools, embedding itself deeply within your system. They've concealed their Armory Crate Uninstall Tool, and even this doesn't fully eliminate all the services it adds. It does nothing useful and its installation is entirely optional. Just avoid installing it—it's that easy. RGB? OpenRGB or Signal work just as well. Fan control can be configured in the BIOS.

I get it, it feels silly and frustrating, but people keep doing it even when it doesn’t work out.
