Hello everyone, I'm just starting out with computer stuff and wanted to know the best way and timing to overclock my RAM. I have an i7 7700k, a GTX 1070 with 8GB, and a 16GB Corsair Vengeance 3000MHz memory. My PC is mostly used for gaming like Destiny 2, PUBG, Rust, and Arma 3. I'm curious about when and how to do this and what advantages it gives me.

Ram should be the final consideration when thinking about OCing.
Initially focus on the GPU and its VRAM, then move to the CPU.
OCing for RAM usually provides limited benefits, particularly with your existing 3000mhz DDR4, it's only necessary to boost a few frames or improve benchmark scores slightly.
Make sure you're applying the XMP profile.

Ram should be the final consideration when thinking about OC. Initially focus on the GPU and its VRAM, then move to the CPU. Generally, RAM overclocking offers limited benefits, especially with your existing 3000mhz DDR4, it's mainly useful for slightly improving those last few frames or a few points in benchmarks. Just ensure you're applying the XMP profile.

Hello everyone, i'm just starting out with computers. i have an i7 7700k, a gtx 1070 with 8gb, and a 16gb corsair vengance 3000mhz ram. my main use is for gaming like destiny 2, pugb, rust, arma 3, etc. i'm curious about when and how to overclock my rams and what advantages it gives. the 3000mhz ram doesn't need much overclocking—just load the xmp profile in bios.
