I am trying to play a game like MW at around 25 to 30 frames per second using my current setup, and I just want to know if upgrading the specs will help me get more frames per second. Specifically, do you think my graphics card (Gtx 1050) and processor (I5-6400 with a 2.70 ghz clock speed) could allow me to run smoother? Also, what about my memory (16gb ram)?

Go to C:\Documents\Call of Duty\players and open options.3.cod22.cst with notepad, find RenderWorkCount and set it to your CPU core count or (example, 6 cores, then set the value to 5 or 6), then on the game with all the lowest graphic settings, turn off texture streaming + enable spot cache on high/ultra . this works on me, specs are on my signature.

Thanks for giving me a shot but it just didn't make much of an impact on my frame rate, lol

Then you'll have to buy better parts for your computer.

The newer processor might be the main cause, but video games aren't built very well for them either, so you can expect bad luck regardless of how much new computer parts you buy.
