It’s the standard method to lower the voltage on MSI boards. Removing a chip from an auto device usually breaks the warranty, but using this technique lets you adjust the voltage while keeping the auto setting active. You can check your current voltage, apply a negative offset for similar effects, and notice significant temperature improvements. I’ve shared this process with at least 15 people.

They misled me about that. I assumed it matched the usual approach for Intel's Turbo Boost. Wrong. It was just enough thermal paste. Too much can actually hurt cooling efficiency.

I also verified in bios, all cores are at 51 lol. MCE is turned on and FFS is active.

I also reviewed the ARK data sheet that Intel provides; it confirms the P-core boost frequency is 5.1GHz, with an additional 5.1GHz for the single core.

Core VID refers to the main video processing unit in a system, while UNCORED VID is the default or unmodified version. SAVID VID is a specific variant used in certain hardware setups. VCore is often the central processing element handling graphics and performance. Core clock measures the CPU's operating frequency, whereas the core effective clock reflects real-world performance under load. Focus on the one relevant to your use case—like performance needs or compatibility.

The device is focusing on vcore and core clock, those are the key aspects you need to know.

Here are some screenshots of your HWINFO underload and I’ve taken a look to ensure everything is correct.

I arrive around 2:20 and run a quick bench test at stock settings. I capture the clock, temperatures, voltage, and power readings. Then I lower the load to 5 instead of the default 12 and run a stable 10 minutes on Cinebench. I stop the test after one repeat if it fails or performance drops significantly.
