Hostname discrepancies across various network interfaces.
I need to adjust how the hostname appears based on the connected network interface. This could be handled through router configuration or client settings. There seems to be no built-in client method for dynamic name changes, but router tweaks might achieve the desired behavior across networks.
It's mainly for appearance purposes. You only need to reach it if you're connecting from another device on the same network. Even then, some routers don't support DHCP hostnames, which I turned off on my setup because it forces the DNS server to restart each time a connection ends.
It's just about appearance. I'm not comfortable with the DHCP lease details being extended. I thought about shortening the lease period, but I wanted to explore other options first.
