Hello, I set up a home connection with a wireless router and client. My setup includes a wireless router, two desktop computers, a laptop with a wireless card, a TV, a cable modem, and a cable splitter. All configurations were completed. I connected the desktops via a copper straight-through cable and linked the router to the cable modem with another copper cable. The TV is connected through a coaxial splitter using its own cable. I enabled DHCP auto-configuration on both devices. The laptop’s wireless settings are working, and I can reach the default gateway in the browser from the desktop. However, when trying to visit sites like skillsforall.srv or google.com, I get a "Host name unresolved" error. Can you help resolve this? Please note I’m using a home wireless router in my Packet tracer setup.
Do all your network equipment use DNS servers like 8.8.8.8? Is your default gateway able to reach the internet? Can you test connectivity to 8.8.8.8 directly from the router and confirm a successful exit route?
