The game is quite CPU-intensive, especially in that setting. It’s not optimized for modern systems like current GPUs, but it works fine with older setups. Since it doesn’t rely heavily on frame rates, the developers didn’t prioritize performance for today’s standards. Also, the target audience probably won’t be interested enough to make the slight optimization worthwhile.
