I’d simply purchase two 8 gigabyte modules and finish up. If you possess multiple slots, be certain to arrange them in alternating positions (avoid placing them adjacent to each other), otherwise your computer’s operating system will perceive it as a single channel. To achieve enhanced performance, you should have it recognized as dual-channel memory.
