Horizon Forza 4: Should you improve your graphics card or memory?
Horizon Forza 4: Should you improve your graphics card or memory?
I’m working with a modest, affordable computer configuration currently. My components include a Ryzen 5 2400G and a Gigabyte B450 DS3H motherboard, with 8GB of RAM running at 2666MHz that I’ve overclocked to 2833MHz. I'm considering adding either a Radeon RX 570 with 4GB of video memory or expanding my RAM to 16GB, consisting of two 8GB sticks at speeds between 3000 and 3200MHz. I’m particularly concerned about whether 8GB of RAM is sufficient for this specific game, and am therefore struggling to decide which upgrade would offer the best performance. I’m content with playing at 1080p resolution with settings ranging from low to medium. Thank you.
A modest 8 gigabytes is frequently inadequate for modern games. A small amount like 8 gigabytes is often insufficient for modern games. Considering that some memory is required by supporting software, it becomes clear that 8 gigabytes is a minimal quantity for graphically intensive titles. It's likely that games like Forza Horizon 4 would quickly consume this limited space, leading to error messages about insufficient memory. In fact, many users encounter similar problems even with less demanding games. As a practical guideline, when a game lists 8 gigabytes as the minimum requirement, it’s advisable to plan for at least 16; your operating system typically reserves a portion of that amount for other applications, which can frequently need more memory than the game itself.
I strongly recommend the GTX 1650 Super instead of an RX570, provided your finances allow it.
I recently purchased an RX 570 and intend to acquire additional memory next week.
I purchased a used graphics card for $86 because I’m currently on a limited budget when it comes to computer upgrades.
