Homeserver occasionally begins—four short beeps—something odd and unusual.
Hello everyone, my home server isn’t functioning correctly. There’s only one specific procedure to restore it. When I power down and unplug the system (smart socket), it beeps four times and then loops every 20-30 seconds. To get it running again, I have to remove the left RAM stick, restart, and repeat the process. After that, I must turn off the power, reinstall the RAM, and power it back on—then it boots normally. However, if I shut it down completely, I’m forced to go through all these steps. My setup is an Intel Pentium G3258 with 8GB RAM and ASRock H81M Windows 10. I checked the beep code online and found it relates to system time. Changing the battery didn’t help. Anyone know what’s happening? Did the mainboard fail? Thanks for any advice!
