Just wondering at what point does one know that their system is at its limit? Not because you just haven't figured out the settings yet but because that "is all there is".

Typically, it's due to the inability to access the desired games and the quality settings I wish to use.

If it can't perform the tasks you expect, regardless of your efforts.

Are you referring to performance or OC headroom (specify the section this post was written about)?
When it comes to overclocking, the main challenges are either maintaining adequate cooling or needing excessive voltage to achieve faster speeds. Eventually, there’s a limit where clock speeds become unstable regardless of adjustments due to one of these issues.

Just a general inquiry. I own a Tuf Gaming X570 Plus with a Ryzen 3950 and 32g of Trident Z RAM, specifically a 3600C14. I haven’t adjusted the clock speed in over 20 years, and back then it was mostly about testing how much stress components could handle. I’ve read several threads about overclocking and have been checking the BIOS to see what’s possible. I managed to raise the clock to 40.25 and it stayed stable. However, there are videos and forum discussions showing others achieving better results. Maybe I should start a thread asking for advice.
