The laptop stopped working after you accidentally hit it near the touchpad. You noticed a minor scratch on the case. It appears to be functioning normally. You probably don’t need to worry unless the scratch grows or causes issues.

No, they can handle shocks just fine. Unless you're downplaying this, there is no issue.
