Thank you for sharing your system details. Please refresh everything. However, unless it's a software power issue, it seems like a faulty motherboard or CPU might be the problem. In that case, trying the free OCCT version could help determine if a component is malfunctioning. Just keep in mind it could be the motherboard itself.
I'm starting to question whether trying a new CPU on a motherboard didn't help. The only option at Micro Center was a refurbished unit, which didn’t work out of the box. I’m worried about the 8-pin power connection—something that functions perfectly with the original board. The GPU still works in another system, but using just one RAM stick at a time keeps it performing consistently. Running the Heaven benchmark on an MSI afterburner shows 0 fps to around 50, no matter what I adjust. The fans don’t spin up when the computer is idle, but they did when installed in an AM4 board. It seems the motherboard might be interfering with the GPU or CPU setup.
It seems the SSD you own is of poor quality, especially since it's from a lesser-known manufacturer. Choosing a well-established brand would prevent performance problems like lagging or slow loading.
Try crystaldiskmark these inland drives are KNOWN bad drives to use as os drives. They are made from leftovers basically as I've had the opportunity to replace many of these that failed and they all ended up having different components inside even tho they are the same drive. Would not be surprised it's another broken one. Even thats not a safe bet but either way inland is a known avoid one. Just return the drive op. For the price of that bad drive you could've gotten a MUCH faster much better m.2 drive or if for some reason you wanted sata the 860 evo and mx 500 are right there.
The Asus Prime board didn’t perform well initially; it was replaced with an ASRock motherboard that improved speed. It ran smoothly during the first GPS tests and now functions properly. Thanks for your assistance!
