Hints to overclocking
Hints to overclocking
Hi. I've been checking various forums since yesterday to make sure I handled the overclocking of my PC carefully and didn't cause any major issues. Could you review it and confirm I covered the main points? Sorry, my English isn't perfect.
Changes I made:
- Improved multi-core performance settings
- Disabled CPU clock ratio
- Set CPU clock ratio to 49
- Activated XMP memory profile with DDR-3200 multiplier
- Adjusted CPU Vcore voltage to 1.340 (stability at 1.320 in tests)
- Turned off CPU thermal monitor
- Enabled EIST disabled
- Set load line calibration to Extreme
If you have any other adjustments to consider, please let me know. Thanks for your help and time!

To verify system stability, perform a stress test to ensure cooling meets requirements under load and that rail voltages stay within specifications. Download AIDA64 and execute the stress test for CPU, FPU, and cache in the TOOLS menu. Start with a 10-minute duration and halt if temperatures exceed 80°C. Share the outcomes. Additionally, use HWInfo64 to validate temperatures and core voltage. You may also assess RAM, GPU, and disks via Aida64.
