Higher temperatures following the thermal paste improvement.
I checked my new PC the other day and changed the thermal paste I had already applied for my Corsair AIO with Arctic 4. However, I noticed my temperatures are a bit higher than expected. It shouldn’t be this way. What could be causing this?
Why this happens depends on several factors. It could be that you applied less paste than intended, or the paste isn't centered properly—missing some chips might affect cooling. Another possibility is that the CPU thinks it has more space to run, so it raises its temperature limit. Temperature readings can vary if the room conditions haven't stayed constant or if the radiator/fans haven't been cleaned.
