It seems you're seeking advice on the best performance settings for your device. Running at Medium with 50-60fps versus using a lower preset and internal upscaling could affect quality and efficiency. Consider testing both options to see which works best for your needs. Good luck with your experiment!

Upscaling will be significantly more demanding and only offers a clearer view of distant objects. I’d stick to maintaining a 1:1 scale and keep everything else at its maximum. Let AA handle the task. It’s similar to watching a 480p display on a 4K screen—still not much improvement.

I assume your comment refers to your rig, not my experience. My GTX 760 handles high settings without becoming unplayable, keeping it at 60 fps with Medium preset. Your question about upscaling performance on lower-end hardware is interesting.

You want the settings adjusted to be higher than what you'd get if you chose a 150% frame scale.

Alright, understood. Thanks! It’ll be fun to explore it more once I’m back.

Adjusted the higher options, but scaling doesn't seem to improve performance.

You're welcome! It's great you're curious about upscaling. For details on its intensity and performance, you might explore technical articles or documentation from reputable sources like the original software developers or trusted AI learning platforms. Let me know if you'd like help finding specific references!

It's essentially upscaling to a higher quality. 150% on 1080p matches roughly 1440p, and doubling it reaches 4K.

Settings. The game appears very tidy at 1080p using High settings plus a bit of FXAA for clarity. I leave Post-AA off, and I’ve swapped HBAO for SSAO to maintain around 60 FPS on my R9 270.
