I'm evaluating options for my Ryzen 7 3700X build. I'm considering three memory kits: one with lower clock speed but reduced latency, another with higher speed but increased latency, and a middle-ground choice. I'm also checking details about my motherboard to ensure compatibility.

AMD prefers high clock speeds around 3200Mhz and above. Based on what AMD enthusiasts report, the optimal range is around 3200Mhz, though going higher isn't harmful but definitely not advisable.

I’d prefer a different brand, model, or retailer instead, as that’s quite costly (similar spec kits are available for 90CAD). The issue with the 3600MHz kit is that I’m not comfortable with your board supporting that frequency, especially since the Gigabyte X470 boards (except Gaming 7) are notorious for limited memory overclocking, and B450 boards will only degrade further. From a price standpoint, the 3200MHz CL16 kit isn’t worth it—it’s even pricier than the 3600MHz one, which you can run at the same settings by forcing it to operate at 3200MHz. The 3000MHz kit falls into the same category as the 3200MHz CL16; forcing it to run at 3200MHz will yield the same stable results.
