my family received a router named the deco m5 with two boosters. i connect to the main one, which is linked to the modem. the modem is an nbn box because i'm in australia. my ping remains steady at 30, but every 15 seconds it spikes up to 300. i have no clue what to do. i'm using wifi and ethernet isn't an option. i set qos to prioritize gaming on my pc. i'm using the tl-wn8200nd v2 network card.

The issue with ping could stem from something other than your device. Was the connection steady prior to the new router, and did changes occur at installation?

1. Send a command to your router using CMD: ping 192.168.178.1 -t
2. Check Google.de and ping it at the same time. If you see strong results, your router connection might be the issue; if only Google.de responds, the internet link is likely the problem.

If it doesn’t respond at all, it might be the same application in both instances—it’s simply a matter of the name you use.

Yes, it should provide a notification explaining the issue. Are you currently using Windows 11?

Either me or you, but I’m not sure who it is.

Hey, I assumed he said sorry. If you need assistance, create another threat and I'll do my best.

O.O how can I reduce it…? Please do that thing! Or I’ll gradually remove body hairs from sensitive areas—trust me, it’s actually more difficult than it seems.
