The i9-9900k delivers strong VCCIO and VCCSA voltages at 4000MHz (CL 17-17-17-37) for automatic RAM tuning. Games run smoothly initially when using a manual voltage of 2.00V, but then you experience frame drops. The CPU isn’t stable under these conditions. How can I determine the right voltage? Are there any tools to test the processor and RAM stability? Thank you.
Adjust both to around 1.25-1.3V maximum, then gradually lower it a bit. 1.4 will harm your CPU soon. A 4000 MHz DRAM typically needs no more than 1.25V Vcc and even less for Vcore.
Asus BIOS is correct. Software reading CPU core voltage in Windows should stay below 1.4V. Use HWinfo in sensor mode to check VR Vout. Remember loadline calibration btw (LLC) memory limits are max 1.5V, Vccsa up to 1.3V, Vccio up to 1.25V. You can use the stick’s rated voltage, but those high values aren’t necessary for Intel CPUs running at 4000MHz CL17.
No board from Asus allows VR VOUT with the Asus EC. Asus doesn't employ IR 35201. The Vcore sensor in the Maximus XI series already supports CPU differential on-die sensing, as demonstrated here. https://www.overclock.net/forum/27686004-post2664.html

I adjusted the BIOS settings to 1.25 for VCC and 1.27 for VCCSA, targeting a core voltage of 1.280. However, hwmonitor displays different readings. Some cores appear to be undervolting while others are increasing. What could cause this discrepancy?
