Your fans seem to be overheating a lot. How are your fans set up? I’ll check if they’re facing the right direction. Those Cinebench results might be affected by the heat. Make sure your AIO is installed properly—use the right brackets and secure it well.
Accepted, this setup uses the largest air cooler available, though it remains quite small.
Here is a picture of my case and fan config. All the RGB fans are exhausting and the two 140mm at the bottom are intakes. Tomorrow i'll recive the last four fans i've ordered, which will get me to 3x 120mm intake, 4x 120mm exhaust and 2x 140mm exhaust, in total 6 exhaust fans. This was recommended to me by a friend of mine. Is it okay, or should I change it? Also on a side note, my temps would spike to 61 degress celcius, when downloading a program such as Cinebench R20, and when done it would go down to an idle of 40 degress celcius. (Temperatures read via HWMonitor)
I’d consider swapping AIO fans for intake positions. If that’s what I had, I’d place them there. Your GPU would generate heat by pushing air through it, which you’re trying to dissipate from a very hot CPU.
Sorry for the repeat, here’s the situation now. Air behaves like water, choosing the path of least resistance. You’re seeing air entering and warming up. The GPU is lifting it higher, and heat is aiding its movement upward. The exhaust fans at the top are the most effective way for air to exit the case. I’d guess that if you positioned your hand behind the AIO, very little air would pass through. This drawing isn’t great, but rearranging the fans could improve the flow. An AIO brings in fresh, cold air, while the GPU supplies fresh, cold air. Spoiler: it works better this way.
I'll start right away and prepare a R20 benchmark once it's ready. I'll send you the score and temperature details shortly.
He doesn't seem to know which software he's using for temperature readings, but a 109°C reading on the GPU hotspot looks extremely high. I think the CPU temperature might be inaccurate too. The system would likely slow down significantly at 90°C and hit its lowest power states.
