Hi All,
So finally after spending a lot more of my end of year work annual leave, i've finished my custom water loop.
I'll list the parts
Intel Core i5 6600K
MSI GTX 980 ti
EK Full Cover VGA Block EK-FC980 GTX Ti TF5 Acetal Nickel
EK-XRES 140 DDC 3.2 PWM Elite Pump/Reservoir Combo
EK Supremacy EVO CPU Waterblock Red Edition
EK CoolStream XE 240 Double Radiator (60mm)
EK CoolStream PE 240 Dual Radiator (40mm)
4 x EK Furious Vardar Fan F5 120mm 3000RPM Black
I havent over clocked anything yet, everthing is stock clocks.
My CPU doesnt go over 45 degrees celsius running prime95.
But my GPU, as soon as i open heaven benchmark it can get up to 84 degrees and never below 75. mostly hovering around 80. this is while the cpu sits at around 30-35.
I've ramped up the pump connected to CPU_fan_1, from 1200rpm, to 3200rpm and i can instantly hear the noise level difference from the pump, but temps havent improved at all.
I'm pretty bummed about this. It took so much money and time to get to this point, ive got 2 days of my holidays left, and im having issues. I really hope i dont have to take things out and move them around already that would be a nightmare. Kinda wishing i just went with an AIO =(

It seems the block you bought isn't compatible with the GPU, or perhaps it was installed incorrectly.

I think I might need to re-seat the GPU block, but I'm not sure what's wrong with it. Disappointed.

Ensure the proper thermal pads are placed in the designated areas, as incorrect positioning might lead to a gap between the block and core.

Oh god, I shouldn't be in IT anymore. I should quit my job right now. I'm such a slowpoke. I've never used MSI afterburner before. This whole time I was checking the power %, but the temperatures aren't going over 45. So bad, lol. Apologies. I feel much better now.
