High temperatures from the GPU cause a black screen.
Suddenly when I begin a game my GPU fans reach maximum and then the screens turn black. After checking some forums I found it relates to temperatures and people recommended updating the thermal paste and pads. I did that plus cleaned the fans. It helped; screens no longer freeze but fans still hit 100% and temperatures stay high, often reaching 82°C right away. Idle temps are also elevated, around 60-65°C. Do you know what might be causing this? I attached a log showing the pattern.
Can we obtain images of your setup? This will help check the airflow. Full specifications would be useful, including GPU model. Upgrading the GPU might lower temperatures. How recent is that GPU?
