The PC isn't turning on at 1.2 volts and 4.0 gigahertz. That's quite an issue.

Maybe your cooling system is the issue. I'm using a BIOS OC setup, not Ryzen Master, but I'm not sure if that affects it. Online checks suggest most people are getting 4 to 4.2 at voltages between 1.35 to 1.375. The 1.1/1.2 options seem to work surprisingly well.

Maybe your cooling system is the issue. I'm using a BIOS OC setup, not Ryzen Master, but I'm not sure if that affects it. Online checks suggest most people are getting 4 to 4.2 at voltages between 1.35 to 1.375. The 1.1/1.2 options seem to work surprisingly well.

It doesn't matter if you use BIOS or Ryzen Master. If your machine is older, it might work. But for newer 3600 models, the production process is more advanced. Many of these can reach 4.3 to 4.4Ghz at 1.32v, while mine achieves 4.5Ghz at the same speed.

It was the older model, purchased shortly after its release. I might wait for a price drop before getting the new 5600X, but I’m unsure if it would really improve performance noticeably.

I just attempted a 4.2 all-core setup, kept the Vcore voltage in auto mode, restarted the PC, and checked the BIOS settings. It displayed 1.425 volts. Could your BIOS be malfunctioning? I suspect it might be the first model that introduced the 3k series on B450 motherboards.

In Auto mode, the voltage rises and falls based on the workload. Run Cinebench R20 and observe the vcore in Ryzen Master to see its peak. For single-core tasks, the vcore for that core typically stays above 1.4v. But with all-core boost, it should drop to around 1.3v. If you notice it consistently reaching 1.425v, that's a bit concerning.

yeah, i didnt even bother letting the PC bootup with those settings after i saw that, i just wanted to check what voltage my bios recommended to run it at 4.2, as soon as i saw that , i immediatly turned scaled it back down, i managed to get 4 at 1.33 i think, but i dont know what is wrong, if my CPU is really that much of a rotton potato, or if my bios is messed up or something

Have you verified the LLC calibration in the BIOS? Instead of 'auto', you can choose 'medium' or 'high'. This avoids needing to adjust the manual vcore excessively. You probably won't need to lower the vcore by 0.03-0.04v while keeping the CPU stable. Usually, the CPU will also run slightly cooler (though not always certain).

I haven't tried it yet; I'm new to overclocking and only saw some basic tips on Jay's channel. I adjusted the ratio and Vcore, experimented until things stabilized, but I haven't checked much yet. I'm holding off until my new cooler arrives before making any changes. I plan to update the BIOS as well, which might help.

For your Ryzen 5 3600, the stock cooler Wraith already handles high temperatures well, but if you notice it getting very hot, you might want to monitor temperatures closely. Since you're using an ASUS B450 motherboard, the recommended voltages are typically 1.4V to 1.5V for the CPU and 1.8V to 1.35V for the GPU. Since you're not planning to overclock, those settings should suffice. Let me know if you need more details!
