Do you receive 80 cents while playing games, stress tests, or both? Stress tests usually make my Ryzen run much hotter than it does during regular gaming.
I receive 83C during Anthem Mirror's edge Catalyst, 75-81C in League of Legends, 79C in Vermintide 2, 81C in Witcher 3, and 80C in L4Dead. These are my daily gaming results. Concerning the tests: OCCT is above 80, Prime95 above 90, Cinebench at 77, Intel Burn at 73 (a recommendation from a forum user). Not every game exceeds 80C, though some do. Edit: I’ll likely adjust the fan curve again today. Regarding voltage—should I lower it? Could that affect performance?

No changes made. Most settings remain unchanged. The only adjustments were modifying the power plan to use Ryzen balanced Cool 'n' quiet and enabling the XMP profile instead of the default. I'm running a Phanteks P400S TG edition with two front intake fans and one rear exhaust fan. The case and fans were already configured for the i5 and prior build.
Have you modified the fan curve settings for your CPU cooler? Can you observe the temperature it's reaching during startup? Your processor should remain below 80°C for prolonged periods.
I adjusted the initial portion of the curve to check if idle temperatures could be lowered, but I haven’t modified the second part for load temperatures yet. I’ll update and keep you informed. Concerning the 80°C in games, it typically doesn’t linger beyond a few seconds—usually during heavy rendering or loading phases, resulting in short bursts rather than sustained highs.

Yesterday I adjusted the fan curve to run at full capacity constantly. Now I have an airplane in my room but the temperature dropped significantly. Idle reached 38°C and load during gameplay stayed between 70 and 75°C. After moving one front intake fan to the top of the case, aligned with the Dark Rock 3, and ensuring proper alignment with the last intake front fan, idle is now 35°C. When playing games, I typically see temperatures between 65°C and 70°C. Even Anthem never goes above 75°C. I’m satisfied with those temps but more concerned about the noise. Would adding one or two extra fans—like a top exhaust and an additional intake front fan—help reduce the noise? At the moment, I use the case’s fan speed switch to control speed (three levels only). The case can support up to three fans. Splitters are available, but would it be better to connect them directly to the motherboard instead?
Your issue seems to stem from the motherboard delivering excessive voltage. In my experience, lowering the voltage to around 1.26V in the BIOS helped stabilize performance and reduce heat.
