I'm concerned about my 3700X temps. They vary between 60-70°C when idle, reach about 81°C during AIDA65 extreme load, and spike to around 94°C briefly at 50% load while playing Read Dead Redemption 2. I've tried Quiet! BK008 Pure Rock Slim and noticed similar temperature fluctuations. Should I consider replacing the cooler? Thanks for your advice.
I received a written response but noticed your image. There’s no issue there since you’re moving back toward the 60s, though it does depend on your workload. The 3700x will shift to higher frequencies when cooled, and based on your system specs it might also deliver more power. Have you turned on any boosting or auto overclocking features? Sharing your complete system details would assist further. I’m using a 3700x with the stock cooler; it reaches the 80s under full CPU load, but gaming keeps it around the low 70s.
Sry, i did not provide the specs. here are the full specs: GPU: RTX 2060S MOBO: MSI MAG B550M MORTAR CPU: R7 3700X CPU cooler: Be quiet! pure rock slim. two HDDs (1TB and 2 TB); SSD: 120GB Kingstion A400, if i am not mistaken.
