I reduced the voltage and I’m still seeing similar outcomes, but at more extreme levels now. The minimum temperature reaches 51°C.

It’s essential because of air pockets or other issues. This is likely why you’re seeing higher temperatures now. Here, it’s completely normal; it fluctuates between 35 and 48°C constantly. That happens with a push/pull Noctua cooler—its peak temperature during C23 is 71°C, but only when under load (like running C23). It stops when it’s idle. If you haven’t changed it yet, replace the thermal paste.

Reflecting on the situation, I should have swapped the thermal paste for some of the Kryo I already had, or at least some Noctua paste, and I’ll do that soon. Still, my PC will freeze up and I’ll have to force it off (which hurts) and then restart it. It happens regularly, so I’m not sure what’s going on, but I know it’s not a good sign.
