You've recently replaced your D15 with a new setup and the temperatures remain elevated during Cinebench R23 on multiple cores, reaching up to 100°C. You're currently running it on an ASUS Z490-A.

It's set to stock configuration, I haven't performed any overclocking recently—I just assembled this PC yesterday.

Are you certain you used the right amount of thermal paste? Asus could have it configured for MCE or an all-core turbo boost to raise the processor’s speed across all cores. Do you have sufficient airflow into the case? You can test this by taking off the side panel and checking if temperatures dropped.

You think you used enough paste, the application looked decent. Removing the side panel didn’t reduce the max to 100°C, so I’ll look into the MCE next.
