I recently upgraded my PC from an 8700k to a 13700k and am using an NZXT Kraken z63 AIO to manage the heat. Due to college assignments, I haven’t done much heavy hardware work until now. Recently, I noticed CPU temps reaching 90–100°C while viewing a blender scene in "rendered" mode, and my PC shuts down blue when trying to render images. The scene itself wasn’t demanding before, but even without the cooler, it throttles immediately. My idle temps sit between 39–50°C, spiking to about 60°C when opening Blender. Light tasks like Chrome and Word match idle temps. I’ve re-applied thermal paste but still face the same issues. Initially, I thought the AIO pump was the problem, but liquid temps shift noticeably under load, and I feel a slight vibration from it. The radiator tubes show clear temperature differences. Should I try reinstalling the cooler and reapplying paste, or explore other fixes? I’ve read that the 13700k generates a lot of heat, so even with good cooling, these temps are expected. Would undervolting be a viable option? Any advice would be appreciated!

You might consider boosting the pump speed and fan speeds to improve water flow. The 13700k is definitely generating a lot of heat, so undervolting could be beneficial. I noticed that with a 9900k, lowering the voltage reduced CPU temperatures significantly during games.
