I recently assembled my new setup using a 3950x processor. I adjusted the lighting to match the temperature settings via corsairs iCue just because I thought my cooling system was too strong and wanted to see the full green display. However, after restarting the system, the lights flash red and shift between red and yellow for about 1-2 minutes before returning to green. My monitoring tools indicated a temperature around 60°C. Once stable, the CPU temperature swings between 26°C and 32°C at idle, which seems unusual but could be related to boost mode. I searched for similar issues but found little matching what others described. My configuration includes two pumps in sequence with a double reservoir setup (Dynamic Duo Build List: MSI Meg X570 Godlike AMD Ryzen 9 3950x EVGA FTW3 2080Ti Ultra G Skill Royal 3600 32Gb). Cooling components are 3x Hardware Labs 30mm 360 rad EK Quantum Vector GPU block and 6x Ek Vardar 120 static pressure fans with 3x Corsair LL120. Thank you for any insights.

Are there other ways to track temperatures after power-on to verify readings? Also, does the 60°C reading seem reasonable under those fluctuating startup conditions?

MSI Dragon Center is still there but the monitor tool vanished. I installed MSI Afterburner and verified temperatures stayed between 40 and 64 before settling around 26.

It suggests using HWiNFO for monitoring. You can configure sensors to activate with Windows. It doesn't record logs directly, but displays maximum temperatures. During startup, I observed about 50°C on my 3900X with a 360 AIO and 30°C ambient—worth checking further.
