High-speed memory performance metrics
I'm planning to set up a system for a family member this Christmas. I'm considering the Ryzen 5 3400G (subject to AMD's October 8th updates). Right now I'm focusing on RAM and checked the specs on the AMD site. They mention the APU can handle up to 2933MHz, but I've noticed people using faster RAM speeds in benchmarks. I'm thinking of getting either 3000MHz or 3200MHz, since the latter isn't available. If you know whether this RAM will work with your setup, it would be helpful to hear.
2933 serves as the fundamental speed for the imc; values above it are technically an overclock and aren't assured, though 3200 seems likely to function.
unless you prefer four memory sticks at 3200mhz, it should function
It's late, but I'm managing with two Crucial Ballistix RGB Red sticks at 3200Mhz CL16. I can overclock to 3466Mhz at 1.4v, though I sometimes see IRQ Blue Screens in Windows, so I revert back to 3200Mhz. Once my CPU improves, I'll attempt another overclock.
