Hello everyone, I'm working on improving my 9600kf processor running at 5.0ghz. Right now it's stable at that speed with a -2 AVX setting, a 45-ring configuration, and 1.37 core voltage. I've adjusted only these parameters to reach this point. I'm trying to reduce the voltages to cut heat, but I can't drop below 1.37 without running into crashes during stress tests on AIDA64. I think this is quite high for a basic 5.0ghz build, though I'm not sure. Could anyone suggest ways to fine-tune further or help with the voltage settings? Thanks for any advice!

14nm at 1.37v fits nicely within typical ranges. The 8700K performs similarly. Trying 1.360v without extended stress tests is a safer approach. Your clock and voltage settings are solid; just consider tweaking cooling as needed. Temperatures under 80-85°C should be normal, possibly reaching around 90°C in warmer conditions.

Your setup is common for mid-range gaming rigs. Running at around 80°C under sustained load suggests you're pushing the hardware, so it's wise to monitor closely. Leaving it on continuously isn't ideal unless you're certain the components can handle it long-term. Consider setting manual limits and using temperature safeguards to avoid potential damage over time.

Oh for sure, that's a fine OC. I leave my voltage on auto, clock all cores to 5.0ghz and bang done. Cache running at 4.7ghz non-issue. you have head room for performance gains yet The faster you get your Memz clocking, even more performance. Write your settings down if you're changing a bunch of things. Specifically all the ones that do work, you write down. Good for the memory (mind) lol.

I keep a small notebook and a set of profiles on my sharpie, plus a few saved in my BIOS. It's been enjoyable experimenting and checking how much I can achieve. My 3000mhz/16CAS setup is now at 3200 with matching timings. I've been running some tests about how boosting RAM speeds might affect CPU overclock stability, but I'm not sure what the implications are for my setup yet. Overall, I'm satisfied with my current RAM configuration.

Overclocking your existing 3000 sticks could lead to instability if you exceed the XMP limit. Purchasing faster memory sticks allows you to run at a higher frequency, around 4000mhz.
