High specs PC but low FPS in Warzone?
High specs PC but low FPS in Warzone?
I build a new computer and everything works well. I have many programs and games running smoothly. My Cinebench score is 25,500 and my GPU score on 3DMark is 17,285. My CPU score is 18,763. The XMP setting stays active for all of this. Other things are left at their stock settings. I get 80 to 100 FPS in Warzone even with high graphics and a resolution of 1080p. In Forza Horizon 5 on ultra settings, I get 100 to 120 FPS. My CS:GO goes up to 150-200 FPS at ultra settings. Cyberpunk runs at 60 FPS.
My CPU is a Ryzen 5 12900K and my motherboard is an Asus Z690 E Gaming. My GPU is an ASUS ROG Strix 3080 Ti. I have 32GB of DDR5 RAM from G Skill running at 6000MHz with CL timings set to C3-C3-CL36-96. The power supply is a 1300W gold PSU that supports EVGA. Everything has been updated, including the BIOS.
I get normal FPS in some games like GTA 5 and Borderlands 3 as well as PUBG. However, Warzone is my main game, and it feels frustrating because I often only get about 80 FPS on this hardware while the CPU and GPU are doing a lot of work. The time to play seems too long for me. I tried looking at lots of things on the internet but couldn't solve the problem yet. What should I do?
80-100 frames per second is very high when the game runs smoothly without stuttering. I don't think it's a problem for you. You can look online to find settings tweaks that help with your specific game. Some visual effects like godrays don't speed things up even though they look cool, and using them will slow down your frame rate. Also, some "improvements" in the latest drivers aren't actually seen inside the game itself, so they cost frames per second too. Finally, there are settings for different parts of the system that help with how the driver handles the game.
Actually, yes, there is a problem. My old PC has way better FPS when using my graphics card (RTX 3070) and CPU (Intel i5-12400F) instead of the new ones with same settings. I get more than 120fps on this setup. Do you suggest any optimizers? I want to try everything before finding a solution.
