High-quality thermal right peerless killer 120 SE produces significant fan noise
Installed the Thermalright peerless assassin 120 SE and noticed a humming noise. From a Reddit thread, flipping the fans stopped the sound. It works, though it feels odd—exhausting air from the back fan makes pulling air harder when reversed. The temperature change isn’t huge, but what should I do? IMG_7560.MOV
I tested using just the middle fan in its original position, leaving the second one out. It's quite close to the exhaust, which should make up for the missing fan. I did the same with an NH-D15s that I later replaced with another fan; it caused a noticeable 1-2C change but produced a significant noise issue.
